Clip-locking turnbuckles use two locking clips instead of a lock wire for added security. The turnbuckle body and terminals are slotted longitudinally to accommodate the locking clips. Once the proper cable tension is achieved, the slots in the body are aligned with those in the terminals and the clips are inserted.

The curved ends of the locking clips expand and lock into the vertical slot in the center of the body. Construct MS turnbuckle assemblies, similar to the AN assemblies shown on the previous page, by selecting a turnbuckle body, two end caps, and two clips from the components listed in the table below.
